SFAF is a community partner for Elsinore, a biographical drama film at Frameline’s Fall Showcase written by Stephen Beresford about Scottish actor Ian Charleson.

Taking place in the late 1980s, the film focuses on Charleson’s performances at the National Theatre in the final months of his life, preparing for and performing roles while seriously ill with AIDS. The film had its premiere at the Telluride Film Festival, has received positive reviews from critics, and Andrew Scott’s performance of Charleson has received widespread acclaim.
