CTZ @ JOCK SUNDAYS, Lookout Bar SF

Join CTZ staff and participants as we take over the Lookout for their infamous Jock Sundays. This weekly Sunday afternoon party features DJS, balcony views of the Castro, and…jocks! Proceeds from the bar directly supports San Francisco AIDS Foundation. Let’s get together and socialize because Sunday Fundays never felt so good.

CTZ @ Queer Sports End of Year Celebration

Come help us represent Cycle to Zero at the 2nd annual Queer Sports End of Year Celebration. You’ll meet other participants from groups such as Stonewall Sports, SF Frontrunners, Trailheadgays, Big Gay Frisbee, & more.

We’ll celebrate the best of the nonprofit queer sports and athletics scene across the Bay Area. Our teams, leagues, competitions, and events (like CTZ!) collectively provide strong communities for LGBTQ+ individuals to play, grow, compete, and thrive. Proceeds from this event directly support our collective mission to create inclusive recreational and fitness spaces where queer players and allies can thrive.

SpeQtrum: Queer Histories and Transgressive Origins

SpeQtrum, in partnership with SFAF, will be hosting a series of peer-led discussion groups at Strut starting October 24th from 12pm-2pm at 470 Castro St. on the 3rd floor. These discussions will occur monthly from October to February and cover a range of topics that center queerness, sex-positivity, and community. Our first topic will focus on queer history told through the personal stories of four special guests: Graylin Thornton, Mama Kat Rose, Shadow Morton, and Ms. V.

While these discussions will be facilitated by staff and center the lived experience of our special guests, we would like to create a conversational atmosphere that encourages questions from our attendees.

This is your chance to commune with legends, leaders, and mentors whose experience in LGBTQ+ communities can help inform us of our past, connect us in the present, and prepare each other for our future.

Whether you’re green to the queer scene or a seasoned lover of leather, this intergenerational event is for you!

 

CTZ in Guerneville: STALLION OUTSIDE

CTZ is proud to be a sponsor of STALLION OUTSIDE, an outdoor R&B and Hip-Hop pool party happening in our ride host town of Guerneville, California.

BOSS Idea House has put together an amazing lineup featuring some of the Bay’s finest DJs and dancers as they partner with brilliant community organizations for this all-new special event.

This is about celebrating culture, cultivating connections, access to nature, and improving health outcomes and overall wellbeing for our communities. Black, Brown, queer, and trans communities and our allies are making it happen on Saturday, October 17th, 12pm to 7pm, at The River Electric (16101 Neeley Road). Come see the CTZ table! Elsinore movie @ Castro Theater

Join us November 5, 7 pm at the Castro Theater!

SFAF is a community partner for Elsinore, a biographical drama film at Frameline’s Fall Showcase written by Stephen Beresford about Scottish actor Ian Charleson.

Taking place in the late 1980s, the film focuses on Charleson’s performances at the National Theatre in the final months of his life, preparing for and performing roles while seriously ill with AIDS. The film had its premiere at the Telluride Film Festival, has received positive reviews from critics, and Andrew Scott’s performance of Charleson has received widespread acclaim.

On the last Wednesday each month, please join us at our “Dinner with Friends” community meal where we provide a yummy nutritious meal, enjoy great conversation and camaraderie and celebrate birthdays for the month.
